Mercy Made

Another week, another set of Yet Mercy Intervened Wips–today, we’ll focus Mercy:

From above, Mercy  descends.  But before he could stand to Justice’s righteous freshness and take the brunt of Justice’s justified strike of judgment, he needed a few details–first, those flowing locks:

As all hair is composed of many strands, even representations of such are complex–TLDR, more hair, more details:

Now for those true colors and real curves of curls:

Lastly, a few more details and golden tint on Mercy’s hair:

Next week, we will continue to soar with Mercy as he gets his wings–no red bulls involved, though 😉

Just in the Freshness

Today,  we continue with Yet Mercy Intervened Wips, mainly with Justice, specifically with his fresh Grecian locks:

Next, I smoothed out lines of the folds of Justice’s cloak and chiton:

As proud member of the Lord’s Gym, Justice needed to look cut:

Now let’s finish with a few more righteous details of that hair and cloth:

Next week, come back to see, Mercy descend!

Clothed in Grace and Justice

Last week, we began going through the wips for my latest project, Yet Mercy Intervened, ending with the blocking of the characters:

Now onto those details!

After blocking out Justice’s general form, I set up the folds in flowing clothes:

Next, I turned to Grace:

Here, I mainly focussed on the base of her hair:

Next, to her clothes:

Lastly, few more details–arms, eyebrows, and more clothes details:

Come back next week for more details of Justice!

On Justice’s Right Side

Recently I finished my picture Yet Mercy Intervened, as seen below:

However, it started with a few simple blocks:

My inspiration for the picture style came from an experimental coloring of weeping angel I had worked on previously:

Next, I blocked out Mercy:

Then, Sinner and Grace  . .

Here I realized Justice would be better suited to be on the right side, so I flipped the picture (Also blocked out Love on the left) :

Then I started the rough details for Justice (and Mercy when I got bored 😉 )

That’s it for this week–next week, come back for more!
